My only complain is fuel consumption sucks, otherwise it’s a good car. Since I bought her, brand new, she has been pullin to the left and the indicator stays on also. I brought her in for her annual service and they are going to see if she is covered. A second Actyon has come in with the same issue. There is also rust under both seats and the esp light comes on quite often!!! I bought one hah! And what a presence it has any where with that luscious snout and the don’t mess with me look. The old Merc 230 powerplant is quiet even when pushed. It isn’t a quick car but I’m 46...so what do I care for quick pick ups anyway? There is a fair bit of pitch and roll (duh)...its an SUV. Its stable and at 130km/h, you’re firmly planted. You don’t buy an Actyon to throw it around bends and corners you’d want a Type R Civic or Bimmer for that. The build quality isn’t Merc or Lexus but I dare say comparable with the CRVs, Tucsons, X Trails and Sante Fes. I also feel a vehicle of this size should come as a standard 4x4 as you are paying the same amount of road tax as them and due to its inability to drive in snow due to the back wheel drive this leaves you very vunerable to hazard, due to the size and structure of it. I also found that this car has not been designed to be a family car due to the lack of space, both in the boot and in the back passanger seats. I was very disappointed with the engine power also, as it has no turbo, which made over-taking difficult, especially when carrying passengers. Responses to this review Usually people take cars for a test drive before they buy. This bloke sounds insane with his comments, unless he bought it from a catalogue and never seen one before, or off with the fairies. The Actyon in my opinion is a good value. The car was available only with four-wheel drive and one of three engines: a 2.7 liter 121 kW (162 hp) / 342 N·m (252 lb·ft) common rail diesel, a 2.9 liter diesel and a 3.2 liter 162 kW (217 hp) / 310 N·m (229 lb·ft) petrol engine, all manufactured under license from Mercedes-Benz. In the summer of 2003, the Rexton was introduced in Europe. Technically, it is based on a slightly extended chassis of the SsangYong Musso. Initially, it was only available with a choice of two engines: a 2.9-liter five-cylinder diesel with 120 hp and 3.2-liter gasoline engine with 220 hp. Both engines were borrowed from the Musso which were licensed from Mercedes-Benz. The transmission options for the diesel model were either a five-speed manual with a gearbox from the American company Tremec or a four-speed automatic with a gearbox from the Australian company BTR Automotive. Codenamed the Y300, the vehicle features numerous technologies to reduce carbon emissions, such as a catalyzed diesel particulate filter and a variable geometric turbine turbo charger. Based on these upgrades, the South Korean Government classifies the 2010 Rexton as a low-emissions vehicle, making it eligible for an exemption from a quasi tax related to environmental standards for five years after the purchase of the vehicle.[1] Other improvements include enhanced parking brake technology, a tire pressure monitoring system (as seen on the SsangYong WZ concept car), an electronic toll collection system and a forward collision warning and avoidance system.[1] [edit] Tuning The SsangYong Rexton has been tuned by two tuning companies: [edit] Rexton R-Line In 2008, British car modification studio, Project Kahn, famous for tuning luxury and sports cars, presented a modified Rexton 270 SPR at the 2008 British International Motor Show. It was so well received that in 2009, it became part of the British SsangYong range. It features added kit, chrome highlights and a 'sportier' interior, but unusually, in the initial models, it does not have a radio/CD player, as it is intended that those that potential customers would want to put their own sound system in. However, the R-Line later gained a Kenwood double-din touch screen navigation system with steering wheel-mounted controls.
